We have a 2000 gal in ground fish pond with 3 Koi and 100 gold fish and need a new filter/pump system.?

The info on the Internet is overwhelming with everyone trying to sell their products, and of course they all say they have the best system. I cannot find any consumer ratings of the best system for the money. I think I need a system that sits outside of the pond and has a backwash feature so there is less work. My former system was too small for the amount of fish I have and it needed to be changed at least weekly. I would much rather have a good system so that I could enjoy the pond and fish more without having to struggle to pull the old in pond system out of the water and the time consuming maintenance. It seems a good out of pond system is pricey.......any recommendations would be appreciated. The cold weather is coming and I am getting concerned about my fish. The pond of course is green without a filter. Aquabead seems to be the best system from my research but I can't afford it. Please do not suggest a homemade system as I am a woman and not that mechanical.

Go with Hagen!

Go to their ponds section - the Laguna is the bomb!
Reply:Go to Lowe's Discount Building Supply. They have very reasonable prices on this type of system Report Abuse

Reply:I was gonna suggest a DIY project, then read your last line :) I can't do anything like that either. They are real pricey, I only have a 90 gal pond, and those filters are expensive.

Anyway, try these links, click on the forums, they have indoor/outdoor pond sections. They'll most likely be able to help you out MUCH better than here. They'll have lots more experience.
