Keeping in mind your morals and ethical views as well as criticisms against Wal-Mart, do you, as a consumer find it ok to shop at there? Why or why not?
[I am trying to answer this question for my senior research project, and was trying to get some input.]
Is it acceptable at Wal-Mart?
Please read the web sites I have written and Wal Mart and decide which offers credible and verifiable information.
It is a decent corporation that is misguided by the current Chairman of the Board of directors and his brother.
Their Global Ethics Office does NOT investigate harassment and Intimidation but they do age discrimination and sexual harassment.

Reply:I will not under any circumstances shop at Wal-Mart. They do not pay their employees a living wage, they dictate the prices they will pay their suppliers and have caused the down town area of many town to become ghost towns. The people who have lost their jobs because of Wal-Mart moving to town eventually wind up working there for minimum wage. They have unfair business practices. I could go on and on but I think you catch my drift.

Have you written your elected officials to investigate their employment practices? The Department of Labor or Department of Justice look into Wal Mart.
On Friday night in Sylmar AJ was talking how he and Rosa were fired at Sam's Club 6625 under silly excuses. A lot of people are being fired at Sam's Club in San Fernando California. AJ was at the Cafe and Rosa was going from Demo to the Cafe Department.
Reply:y wouldn't it be? theyhave great prices and deals. at brand name stuff.
Reply:Unfortunately, my family cannot afford to shop at other grocery stores unless they have a sale.
I do not agree with WalMart's heavy handed approach to it's suppliers.
Reply:never been in a wal-mart, don't plan on shopping there ever. they represent the epitomy of everything bass-ackwards with mega-corps.

Insane isn't it, and I get sick to my stomach every time I look at my paycheck noting how much the corruptament stole from me, and then used the stolen money for the items that you listed, as well as many more failed communistic corruptament programs that our mentally disturbed so-called representatives unconstitutionally legislate. Due to this corruptament insanity, I cannot afford my own needs and wants, because I'm forced to pay for the needs and wants of outlaws such as illegal aliens, and the low down lazy low-life loafers that abuse the so-called "Welfare" system. Anyone knows about american home mortgage servicing inc. in irving,texas,75063-1730?
It might be one of those checks that will automatically sign you up for some (usually unnecessary) service just by depositing. Read the fine print.

Psychology degree....decisions decisions.....?
Im thinking of options post graduating to do with a single honors Psychology degree.
I have some experience in clinical but have decided not to pursue this as it appears stressful.
Is there such a vacancy as being a 'consumer psychologist'? I dont want to be stuck doing market research or a shop manager though.
I am particulary interested in advertising...do they value Psychology degree majors?
Psychology degree....decisions decisions.....?
Yes they do. I have a cousin that is working for a top ad agency that focuses on advertising/marketing for a car company. Most jobs will however require at least a master's degree. What you describe falls under "social psychology". Strength in statistics is a must. As you will be doing/intrepreting market research. (psy prof, Ph.D.)
Reply:Well, I don't think I can resolve your future for you.
You're likely worrying about it a bit much. Concern and planning are good.
Realize this, even though you prepare for a career, you cannot guarantee yourself exactly what job, position or career you will wind up in.
I'm sure that some corporations value psychologists input in their advertising efforts, or an advertising agency. But there seem to me to be more positions of a counseling sort available. But I don't have any statistics.
I would do this, if I were in your shoes, do some part-time research on careers for psychologists. Get some ideas. Maybe get some career counseling. Here's a place to start:
http://www.apa.org/topics/psychologycare...
Reply:If you wanted to work in the area of business you could work as an occupational psychologist these focus upon optimizing work activity of workers and the work force as a whole. In order to create a more lucrative business they are often employed by large companies.
If looking into advertising you could try a social psychology route although whether the advertising companies employ psychology degree majors i am unsure. I know there is an area for marketing psychologists so maybe this is where you should look.

Hi all, im setting up a questionnaire to test consumers behavior towards recycled products.?
Im using socio-demographic, attitude, beliefs(cognitive), feelings(affective) variable to capture the individual influences affecting the purchase decision of recycled products in general. For External influences i have group influences as a variable. Can anyone suggest me on what i could ask the respondents to capture the economic, technology and eco labelling factors that influence their buying behavior towards recyled products? I would also highly appreciate other suggestions on external influences that i could use for my research. thank you, gigi
Hi all, im setting up a questionnaire to test consumers behavior towards recycled products.?
the easiest way, as i see it, is to ask matrix question.
for example:
On a scale from 1 to 7 (or some other kind of odd numbered scale) how strongly do you agree with the following statements in regards to products produced from recycled materials:
%26gt; price is important factor for my decision to buy recycled products
%26gt; convenience is important ...
%26gt; eco label ..
%26gt; etc.
Reply:Price
Reply:Do you think it's easy to recycle by changing the way of life you were in the past?
I wanna ask this question is I tried to persuade people around me to recycle. I'm willing to offer them a lunch box, rather than take away lunch with plastic bags. I did it, but I failed. After ONLY 1 DAY they use the lunch box, they rejected it. They said it's hard, with plastic bags they can throw the left-over food inside the plastic bags in case they didn't finish it. So they returned the lunch box to me. It's a sad news...

I need help with science project!?
I have write an article describing how an understanding of chemical reactions has led to the development of new consumer products and technological processes. (examples, fire-retardant materials, antacids, etc) I have no idea wtf to even begin with or research with!! lol Please help! and thank you.
I need help with science project!?
I think you have to explain how the knowledge of how different chemicals and materials react can be useful in products
Reply:I would use a search engine, typing in the key terms that I wanted to know. Be sure to include the word "kids". That way they will give you more child friendly websites. I would also look at the resources that I list.
