Proof-reading for me, please?

Recent years have seen increased attention being given to the ‘voice of customer’ in new product innovation research (Griffin and Hauser; Gupta and Sounder). In addition, there are several ways which have been discovered that they can be used in the development process for a new product or service. To answer the question, there are several definitions as well as how the voice of the customer can help a new product launch will be given in this essay. Then a conclusion will be drawn at the end of this essay.

According to Griffin and Hauser, industry practice has evolved a form of customer input that has become known as the ‘voice of the consumer’. The voice of the consumer is a hierarchical set of ‘consumer needs’. In addition, it is also said that the ‘voice of customer’ is ‘a term used in business to describe the process of capturing a customer’s requirement’. Moreover, due to the voice of the customer reflects individual needs, it may have a better contribution in designing a personalized product or service for consumers. As a result, it seems that the voice of the customer helps firms to understand customer wants and needs, and as the key input for new product definition or the setting of design specifications.

In addition, there are several....service.

suggest: In addition, several new methods have evolved that can be used in the process of developing a new product or service.

To answer the question, there are ....end of this essay.

suggest: To answer the question, there are several ways in which 'the voice of the customer' can be used to help a new product launch. These will be explained in this essay, and a conclusion drawn. (presume you don't want to use the first person but it might be easier to say 'I will explain these in this essay and then draw a conclusion at the end'.)

According to Griffin and Hauser, industry practice has evolved a form of customer input that has become known as the ‘voice of the consumer’ (should that be 'customer?). The 'voice of the consumer' (ditto) (keep quotes round it) is a hierarchical set of ‘consumer needs’. (think that it's important you expand on this hierarchical set of needs as I don't know what they are and am interested).

In addition, it is also said that the ‘voice of customer’ is ‘a term used in business to describe the process of capturing a customer’s requirement’. Moreover, due to the (insert: 'fact that' or replace 'due to' with 'since the' ) voice of the customer (keep phrase in quotation marks) reflects individual needs, it may have a better contribution (suggest: it may contribute valuable information to the firm that is designing a personalized product or service for consumers.)

This last bit would then read: Moreover, since the 'voice of the customer' reflects individual needs, it may contribute valuable information to the firm that is designing a personalised product or service for consumers.'

As a result, it seems that 'the voice of the customer' (keep quotation marks) helps firms to understand customer wants and needs, and as (lose as, put in: represents) the key input for new product definition or the setting of design specifications.
Reply:The grammer is much better but the material in the answer is still poor! Hope it works out for you!! Report Abuse

Reply:x. yes interesting. x
Reply:Firstly there are a lot of grammatical errors in the answer. Secondly you have to dig very deep to get to the actual answer as you have a lot of padding in it. What is the actual question? I assume it is something like discuss the use of the 'voice of the consumer' in the process of New Product Development?? All you've done in this answer is give two definitions from Griffin %26amp; Hauser, if you want to print the question I can give you a couple of pointers on a better answer??
