Why is it, we are in a much worse problem since 2006 when the Democrats took over Congress????????

A little over one year ago:

1) Consumer confidence stood at a 2 1/2 year high;

2) Regular gasoline sold for $2.19 a gallon;

3) the unemployment rate was 4.5%.

Since voting in a Democratic Congress in 2006 we're seen:

1) Consumer confidence plummet;

2) the cost of regular gasoline soar to over $4 a gallon;

3) Unemployment is up over 5% (a 10% increase);

4) American households have seen $2.3 trillion in equity value evaporate (stock and mutual fund losses);

5) Americans have seen their home equity drop by $1.2 trillion dollars;

6) 1% of American homes are in foreclosure.

Please don't give me that Bush vetos all Bills passed by Congress. Bush has used the least amount of vetos of any president ever. When Bill had the White House and Republicans had Congress which is pretty much the same thing as today , we were not the way.

Thank you DREW BLOOD for your research!

Why is it, we are in a much worse problem since 2006 when the Democrats took over Congress????????
To answer your question;

The fears of electing a pro socialist Democrat party to power is causing the market to become unstable. It happens every time there is fear of the Democrats taking power. If you think this is bad wait till the market reacts if by the chance Obama wins in November. It will make living under Jimmy Carter's 23% inflation rate look like a walk in the park.
Reply:Democrats as a whole are wimps that haven't been able to defeat bush policies. Republicans are hypocrites and crooks that feed a lobbyist/special interest machine.

Therefore, the years after 2006 are simply a continuation of the downward trend with no roadblock in the way. So you see, your intent to blame Democrats is misplaced. They are just worthless toadies that offer no resistance.
Reply:Because congress is consistently weak and Pelosi is a Bush butt-kisser. It's embarassing for the Dems you got to admit. I believe Milton Friedman once did a study that showed Washington is most prodcutive and efficient when A Dem is in the White-House, Republicans in the Congress, And Dem Senate. That combo works well for everybody for reasons beyond my expertise. Interesting.
Reply:Because of GOP policy. Dems have been the majority in the HR for all of 16-17 months.....

The mere attempt to attribute 7 years of failed policy on 17 months of work is laughable....except for the fact that you and so many others are actually serious about your claims.

Get an education
Reply:This is what is known as a "Post Hoc logical fallacy". NONE of this is a result of Democratic policies. They ARE the result of GOP policies that are continuing.
Reply:The Dems are desperately trying to blame everything on the republicans to distract people from the fact that they are one of the most useless "do nothing" Congresses in history. Blind sheep are their doormats.
Reply:That does seem to be forgotten. The so called main stream media won't talk about it either. They have also wasted millions of our tax payer dollars on investigations of Bush administration officials to no avail....
Reply:Pelosi spends all the money going on vacation to Syria. I hear she has her eye on Iran and perhaps some Hezbollah stronghold. She could bring Barack along and never come back. The only way that woman looks good is in a burka.
Reply:Because the Dems are in the tank for tax and regulatory increases, the threat of which are depressing the economy.
Reply:A very simple answer: "LACK OF COOPERATION!" and more emphasis on "power and recognition than on solutions". Anyone who doesn't understand that the parties are shills for one another doesn't really understand politics.
Reply:The congress dosen't have enough votes to end Bush policies. But they will soon. Then something will get done.
Reply:LOL. It's so funny how some people refuse to acknowledge that things had gone downhill from 2000-2006, but as soon as someone can blame Democrats, it's all gone to hell...but only from that point on, right?
Reply:I can't figure out why we are in "much worse problems" since the Democrats took office. But I think that Bush and his no child left behind policies have some explaining to do.
Reply:The congress has nothing to do with oil prices or the abuses of crooked mortgage brokers.
Reply:Democrats don't understand economics.
Reply:They have just started and they want to do more for the American people.

Obama wants the gas prices even higher.
Reply:Cause bush and his minions are still in control of the whitehouse...duh
Reply:It took almost eight years for the country to get in this shape, it will take that many or more for them to get us out
Reply:Since 2000 when we had a fiscal Surplus?
Reply:Always good to see that NeoCons have no capability for original thinking, but have to rely instead on their chain emails.

Chain emails--you know the type...

Has the subject line...Fwd:Fwd:Fwd:FWD: Voting for change!!!

They always say, "Here's something you won't hear in the major media!" Or, "The media isn't reporting this!" Etc, etc, etc.

And at the end, it says, "If you agree with this, forward it to 10 people right now!"

"This piece is one of the more ludicrous examples of the post hoc ergo propter hog ("after this, therefore because of this") fallacy we've received in a long time..."

"We'll start by noting that it's not technically correct to claim the public voted "in a Democratic Congress in 2006." The Democrats did gain 31 seats in the House of Representatives in the 2006 elections, giving them a 233-198 majority over Republicans...However, the current composition of the Senate tips toward neither party, with both Democrats and Republicans holding 49 seats each. (Two senators, Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Joe Lieberman of Connecticut, were elected as independents.)

"The other major fallacies here are the notions that a single party with control of only the House of Representatives (but not the Senate or the White House) could have, by itself, brought about all the economic conditions described above, and that it could have done so in the space of s single year. The financial woes currently being experienced in the U.S. are due to a multiplicity of factors...Moreover, all these factors are part of ongoing processes that were underway well before 2007..."

Anti American copied the information from his chain email and posted it directly onto YA. You'll find that the same thing quoted word for word on this webpage I've posted.

I don't know who "Drew Blood" is, but there was no research involved.

ROFL Good to see the NeoCons refusing to realize this is more chain email garbage.
