Yahoo Answer Sponsors?

Does anyone else find it odd that users respond to questions posed by advertisers on this board as if they're talking to a real person?

Sponsors pay Yahoo for a spot on the front page, then ask questions to us for market research yet people respond with advice for the advertisers children as if they're talking an individual.

What do you think of companies (like the one currently on the front page) trying to dupe people and how susceptible to being misled we are as consumers?

Does nobody realize that they're talking to a company, or what? Do people think they'll win a prize for answering or something? Why do people keep "starring" an advertisers phony question?? Do you guys honestly think it's a good question?

You know, advertisers typically PAY people of offer them trial products for market research information...

I realize this is several questions, but I can't believe people are this gullible.

Yahoo Answer Sponsors?
Kinda scary, isn't it?

You've got to keep in mind, though, that a significant portion of Y!A participants are very young (some teenagers).

They aren't quite as savvy when it comes to these things.
Reply:all is fair in love war and commerce
Reply:It's not a big deal, I don't have to pay. I think it's alot better than having public supporter membership.

As long as it is used for advertising they won't take away any of our priveledges to make supporting the site appealing.
Reply:So, what's the problem?

It doesn't cost a dime to answer a question.

(I don't know what question or sponsor you're referring to.)
